Why Mt Shasta?
California is the #1 state to experience a UFO siting says ABC News and even coined Mt. Shasta as the new Roswell. Even the well known TV series Ancient Aliens dedicated a whole episode to the mountain. The Mystery of Mount Shasta S17 E4. Some say it has to do with its unique landscape.
Mount Shasta is a national landmark site. It is “one of the world’s largest and most impressive stratovolcanoes and contains the greatest mass of volcanic material of any stratovolcano within the Cascade Range. Sacred Site Tour with Dan Horton
Dan Horton is an adventure guide, spiritual life coach and actor who has been working and studying in the transformational field for over twenty five years. Dan led hikes in Yosemite, Big Sur, Canyon Lands and Arches in Utah, the Dolomites in Italy and many areas of Southern California. He felt “the call” to Mount Shasta in 2019, and finally moved there. Dan spent the next few years during his time there listening to, and connecting with this mystical mountain.
His passion is to be in nature, and facilitate bringing people into the awe-inspiring and multidimensional reality through the vortex of Mount Shasta and the surrounding area. Dan draws upon his spiritual studies at the Philosophical Research Society, Hypnosis Motivational Institute, and Gnostic Society, along with other spiritual traditions, most prominently the Indigenous People’s way of living in reciprocity and harmony with Mother Earth, for every tour that he leads.
Dan sees Mount Shasta as a place of wonder, mysticism and healing, and looks forward to being a part of this magical adventure with each person he guides there.
As an actor and teacher for over twenty five years in Los Angeles, he concentrated on being able to channel whatever wanted to come through him for a particular role or student. Dan applies his listening skills when he’s communing with nature and the elements, or the authentic self and higher dimensional beings, thus allowing whatever messages that want to come through him to be unfiltered and clear in the wisdom they have to offer.

Location
Our location is in a lodge one mile from downtown Mt. Shasta though secluded amidst a mature forest. The lodge is at the base of Mt. Shasta herself and directly across the street is the Gateway Peace Garden, a meditation prayer garden that is available for public use. At the end of the street is Mt. Shasta City Park, the home of the headwaters of the Sacramento River. Some say it is the best drinking water in the world. The lodge was built in 1959 and in 2021 underwent full interior renovations to modernize and update the cabins while preserving the rich history of the cedar wood lodge. It is a perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm with fully stocked kitchens and bathrooms in each cabin. Deer enjoy meandering around the backyard as well, so be sure to say hi. (text borrowed from their website)
We have rented the entire lodge so we may do our work freely. There are eight unique cabins, each with their own kitchen and bathroom. Laundry is set up on site, but in its own cabin. Non-scented laundry detergent will be available on site.
